How ironic! Mudvayne's frontman Chad Gray fell off the stage while performing Mudvayne's hit song, "Not Falling."

Mudvayne recently took the centerstage of the Ameris bank Amphitheater in Alpharetta, Georgia, on Wednesday night. Everyone was having fun not until they witnessed Gray falling off the stage while singing "Not Falling."

In a now-viral video, which has since been reposted by different pages, the frontman can be seen falling during the performance. Still, the crowd continues to hear him sing the song while not being visible.

Eventually, he comes back through the pit in front of the front stage and performs again in view.

One YouTube user, who reportedly was at the concert, revealed that Gray stood on the barricade while fans and security held him. However, during "Not Falling," the guard did not see him, causing the singer to fall on his stomach.

Despite the accident, fans praised him for continuously singing until he got back on stage again.

One said, "I was there!!! Chad's voice was so much better than at Rockville it was insane how good he was live!!! Also at that show was the first time in 15 years Rob zombie put on his full makeup!!!"

"It's kind of ironic he fell off the stage during 'not falling' of all songs. I hope he's ok and not feeling pain afterwards. He sounds so much better now. I think he had COVID or was sick at Rockville. Great to see Mudvayne again," another wrote.

The Truth Behind The Fall During "Not Falling"

Following the release of the video, Gray shared the whole story and truth on Instagram.

He revealed in the video that the accident was "f-cking brutal." Although two days have passed since the accident, he reportedly still feels sore.

Still, he was glad he did not break a rib or suffer a serious injury despite landing his sternum on the metal barricade. It turned out that he thought the fans would catch him like they were doing a trust fall.

Unfortunately, the concertgoers missed it.

"I just want you to know that it's not like I would like, don't put don't walk out there and ******* slipped on a banana peel or something and fell into the crowd. It was like, you know, it was absolutely my intention to get out there and get down, get down in your face and I'll lay on you and lean into you. Scream and scream back at me," he explained.

Gray added that it was one of the favorite parts of the band's show since he wanted to get closer to the fans.

However, when he put his foot on the barricade, he pushed it off backward, but it went straight down while his left foot was on the stage.

In the end, he thanked fans for their messages after the accident,
