"Renaissance," Beyonce's first solo album in six years, is anticipated to top the charts in its first week of release. All of them, it seems.
It appears that all the controversies it has been thrown since its launch did nothing to ruin its popularity.
According to Hits Daily Double, the 40-year-old superstar's new album would "easily" start at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with the trade newspaper forecasting that it will sell between 275,000 and 315,000 copies in the first week after its release on Friday.
In addition, according to the news source, the hitmaker's seventh studio album would receive more than 170 million streaming in the United States during the next week.
In the meantime, Spotify stated that the album was ALREADY the most streamed album by a female artist in 2022 on a single day.
The updated forecasts indicate that the record will be among the best-selling albums of 2022.
With 521,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week, Harry Styles' third studio album "Harry's House" presently holds the record for the best opening week of the year. But this can easily be toppled by Queen Bey's offering.
Prior to the release of "Harry's House," "Mr. Morales & The Hotsteppers" by Kendrick Lamar topped the charts with initial sales of 295,500 equivalent album units.
But Beyonce is a natural contender. Her past albums speak volumes. "Renaissance" will be Beyonce's eighth consecutive No. 1 launch on the Billboard 200.
And the singer has hinted that her fans might anticipate more new music in the near future.
Before Thursday's album release, the singer sent a note to her website describing the new collection as a "three-act project."
This three-act album was recorded over the course of three years during the pandemic. She penned, "A time to be still, but also a time I discovered to be the most creative."
Beyonce claimed that the release of "Renaissance" during the COVID-19 epidemic was her way of avoiding the uncertainties of what lay ahead.

"Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving," she said.
"My intention was to create a safe place. A place without judgement. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration," she added.
She went on to express her gratitude to her three children and her "muse," Jay-Z, for their support during the creative process.
Since 2008, Beyonce and Jay-Z have been married, and in 2012, they welcomed their first child, a girl named Blue Ivy. In 2017, she had twins named Rumi and Sir.
Beyonce honored her uncle Jonny, who was gay and unfortunately died due to complications from an HIV diagnosis, for introducing her to the musicians and cultures that continue to inspire her.
