Amid the lack of updates from Lil Tjay's camp, hip-hop artists have been doing their best to avoid the emergence of false reports about the rapper's status.
Over a month since the shooting incident happened, Lil Tjay and his representatives remain unreachable despite the public's demand for an update. His latest official status was released by NBC News after his surgery, saying that he was already stable after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.
As questions about him continue to surface, a Twitter user - who is a fan of the rapper - shared the good news.
One user asked how Lil Tjay was doing, to which the other said that the rapper is "up and doing well."
"We live in a Cruel world filled with jealousy and Envy @liltjay is a big talented rapper, enemies want him gone but Glory be to God @liltjay has recovered and 10 x strong rapper @liltjay is G.O.A.T," the caption said.
Meanwhile, the photo revealed that he saw Lil Tjay finally looking good, taking away fans' worries.
The update came after Fivio Foreign disclosed during his appearance at Rolling Loud that he had already spoken to Lil Tjay over the phone. He also assured the crowd that he continues to make a "healthy recovery."
"I was on the phone yesterday and he talking regular. It wasn't nothing. I'm saying some small to a giant. That n****, that n**** is a different type of person," he said. "I'm saying like, when he comes back, everybody better be ready. It's just beyond demon time."
These resonated with what his uncle, Quinn Smith, revealed a few days after the shooting. He revealed that Lil Tjay was "pulling through" and would "be okay,"
Lil Tjay Yet To Come Back
Lil Tjay's current status shed some light on the reason why he was absent during the Wireless Festival in Birmingham for its July 9 event.
The "In My Head" rapper joined Cardi B, Chris Brown, Burna Boy, Central Cee, City Girls, Lil Baby, Mahalia, Arrdee, B Young, Comfy, Crystal Millz, JBee, Mowgs, and Steel Banglez on the list.
However, he missed the event.
It is safe to say that he is yet to make a return as he sustained gunshot wounds following 27-year-old suspect Mohamed Konate's attempted robbery.
"Just after midnight, on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, the Edgewater Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired in 14 The Promenade in Edgewater, NJ. Upon their arrival to the area, officers found 21-year-old Tione 'Lil TJay' Merritt with multiple gunshot wounds and Antoine Boyd with a single gunshot wound," the official report said.
