Lady Gaga teases her involvement in Joker 2 sequel entitled "Joker: Folie à Deux" through a 17-second clip uploaded on her Twitter account on Aug. 5.

It shows the silhouettes of Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga dancing against a red backdrop, with the jazz standard "Cheek to Cheek" playing as the soundtrack.

"Joker: Folie à Deux" Release Date

Under the helm of Director Todd Phillips, the sequel is announced to be released on Oct. 4, 2024, starring Phoenix as the Joker, and Gaga as Harley Quinn. "Joker: Folie à Deux" was confirmed as a musical on June 13.

The first "Joker" movie was released in 2019, directed by Phillips and Joaquin starring the Joker. The movie was initially released at the 76th Venice International Film Festival on Aug. 31, 2019, and bagged the Golden Lion Award, as reported.

The critically-acclaimed movie went on to win 97 awards and was nominated 141 times. "Joker" is based on the DC Comic bearing the same title

"Joker: Folie à Deux" is written by Phillips and Scott Silver, who also penned the first "Joker." The French phrase Folie à Deux translates to shared madness, perhaps hinting that audiences will expect some explosively intense scenes from Joaquin and Gaga.
