Sad news for Whitesnake fans as the band has withdrawn their appearances with The Scorpions for their upcoming tour due to David Coverdale's medical condition; is he okay?
Taking to their official website, the rock singer issued a statement, saying he's disappointed to announce that the band will not be touring alongside The Scorpions for their scheduled shows across the United States and Canada.
"Whitesnake will no longer be able to join The Scorpions on their US and Canadian tour due to my continued treatment for a persistent upper respiratory infection that affects my ability to perform," he wrote.
He added that the group will also cancel their own headlining shows.
Coverdale concluded the statement by clarifying that the Scorpions will continue their shows without them and the band wishes them well.
The English rocker also shared a separate statement on Twitter where he apologized to his bandmates about the cancelation.

He began by writing that he's sorry to current members Reb, Tommy, Michele, Joel, Dino, and Tanya, and he couldn't wish for a "more amazing, exciting, inspiring, and thrilling band."
The vocalist also expressed his gratitude to their crew.
"Our dear friends, The Scorpions, all the agents and promoters, and of course toy YOU our truly awesome fans, I am deeply and profoundly sad to be unable to tour," he concluded.
According to Q105.7 Classic Rock, The Scorpions have also shared their own announcement, noting that nothing is more important than their fans, making them decide to continue the scheduled shows.
They wished Whitesnake all the best and mentioned that they look forward to performing with them together with Thundermother.
Their first show was set to kick off in Toronto, Canada, on August 21 and end in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 21.
This was not the first time the band has opened up about the state of their health as the outlet noted that they previously canceled their headlining shows in June.
Initially, Coverdale started "feeling a bit under the weather" two days prior to their performance and he was diagnosed with an infection of the sinus and trachea.
He was advised to recover and not use his vocals for singing for five days.
Whitesnake began touring a few months ago for their farewell tour, but had to cancel their shows due to Coverdale's health woes. They were supposed to tour until August 18.
