Rapper Young Slo-Be passed away at 29 years old recently after a gruesome murder in Califonia. He is famous for his hit songs "I Love You," "Smurkish Mode," and "Unforgivable" featuring the late Drakeo the Ruler.

CBS News initially reported the incident but the victim's identity remained unconfirmed until Pitchfork's recent report.

Young Slo-Be Cause of Death Revealed

According to early reports, a shooting incident along the 100 block of Trevino Avenue in Manteca, California left a man dead last Friday morning.

It was reported that Manteca Police officers responded early in the morning to conduct the investigation - leaving them with 1 male shooting casualty, which turned out to be Young Slo Be, who sustained multiple fatal injuries.

As of this writing, information on the suspect has not yet been revealed nor been identified but initial investigation reveals that the reason for Young Slo Be's death "does not appear to be random."

It was only until later that The Thizzler, Young Slo Be's music company, confirmed the news to Pitchfork and on Twitter through their official account.

"We're devastated to announce that rising star Young Slo-Be was shot & killed this morning. It was an honor to work with Slo-Be the last couple of years and we're heartbroken to say goodbye. Our condolences go out to his family & loved ones," the label said in a statement.

Young Slo-Be Death Mourned

Formally known as Disean Jaquae Victor, rapper Young Slo-Be was a celebrated figure on the Stockton, California rap scene.

He has shared acts with other artists in the area including BounceBackMeek, EBK Young Joc, EBK JaayBo, and the EBK Hotboiiz crew.

The 29-year-old was recognized to be one of the flag-bearers of the bustling Stockton, California rap scene.

Recently, Pitchfork noted that he and EBK JaayBo is making the area's rap scene a "must-follow." Slo-Be's death was unanticipated, considering the tragic way he was murdered.

"Our whole team mourns him and are shaken to think of the loss of his massive potential to this senseless act of violence," Young Slo-Be's manager told the music outlet.

Young Slo-Be's song, "I Love You," has gained prominence on social media, primarily on TikTok. The song has been used in over 19,000 videos.
