NBA YoungBoy's hopes of being released from house detention are apparently in risk after he was allegedly discovered attempting to cheat a drug test.

Faking Drug Tests, Testing Positive

According to AllHipHop, the Baton Rouge native attempted to pass off another person's urine sample as his own during a necessary drug test in late July.

YoungBoy tested positive for THC, the primary psychoactive ingredient present in marijuana, after his scheme was disrupted and he was compelled to submit a valid urine sample.

The 22-year-old, who was found not guilty on federal firearms charges in Los Angeles on July 15, allegedly used a device to fill the testing cup with someone else's clean pee, according to court filings.

When challenged by the watching officer about the device, YoungBoy Never Broke Again denied the charge and fled the premises without permission.

The next day, he gave a valid urine sample, which tested positive. The Top rapper admitted under interrogation that he used a CBD vape pen during his pretrial supervision.

He also stated that he conducted a home drug test the week prior and panicked when it was positive for THC because he feared he would break the restrictions of his pretrial release.

Recording Music Without Probation Officer's Approval

In addition, the U.S. Attorney's Office accused NBA YoungBoy of attending a recording studio without his probation officer's approval. They feel that these offenses justify his continued house imprisonment.

Since October 2021, the rapper has been on house arrest in Utah. Following his July acquittal, his legal team requested that his earlier bail restrictions be modified and that he be released from home detention, paving the stage for a future statewide tour.

Friday saw the release of NBA YoungBoy's newest album, The Last Slimeto (August 5). The 30-track project featured Quavo, Rod Wave, and Kehlani as guest artists, and represented his final release on Atlantic Records, although a $60 million contract extension has reportedly been agreed upon.

YoungBoy has produced a series of music videos to promote the album, including a new one for "Digital" on Sunday (August 7).

The Last Slimeto will mark NBA YoungBoy's last album under his current contract with Atlantic Records. There was a previous report that he rejected an offer of $25 million to re-sign with the label. However, a $60 million deal was floated by his Never Broke Again imprint earlier this week.
