Shawn Mendes makes true of his promise to prioritize his mental health after cancelling his tour. While that cancellation devastated his fans, they would have been more saddened if they for instance, hear the artist going further downhill in his mental health struggle.
Looks like that's not happening.
Friday in Miami, Shawn Mendes donned only board shorts and showcased his arm strength while on the beach.
The 23-year-old "Mercy" singer was observed swimming after canceling the remainder of his tour late last month to focus his mental health.
The Canadian singer brushed his damp hair away from his face as he wore maroon shorts that revealed his abs.
Before changing into blue shorts and speaking with friends on the beach, he accented the ensemble with a gold necklace and a black bracelet.
Later that evening, Mendes was photographed in the DJ booth at LIV Miami alongside The Weeknd, record producer Kaytranada, and restauranteur David Grutman.
Mendes was reportedly grinning and singing along the entire evening while wearing a plain white tank top and his typical curly hair.

Mendes canceled his "Wonder: The World Tour" because he needed to continue working on his mental health, a revelation he made just over a week prior to his South Florida performance.
As you guys know, I had to postpone the past few weeks of shows since I wasn't totally prepared for the toll that being back on the road would take on me," the "Treat You Better" singer said in a social media statement. "I started this tour excited to finally get back to playing live after a long break due to the pandemic, but the reality is I was not at all ready for how difficult touring would be after this time away," he added.
He then promised to take care of himself and once able, he'll make a huge comeback. "...I promise I will be back as soon as I've taken the right time to heal," he concluded his statement. "I love you all and thank you all so much for supporting me and sticking by me on this journey."
One can say his breakup with Camila Cabello added to his struggles. It's not the split per se, but the fact that there's no one to immediately turn to for comfort.
This year, after Mendes and fellow musician Camila Cabello announced their breakup after three years of dating, Mendes revealed that he does not know who to call during a panic attack. Cabella stated that prior to their breakup, the couple attended counseling to deal with the negative aspects of their relationship.
Mendes initially informed supporters in early July that he would be postponing his tour. The tour was supposed to run from June 2023 in Portland until August 2023.
