Not all celebrities or artists have the same attitude behind closed doors as Gary Powell claimed he can attest to Morrissey's real persona whenever he's not in front of the crowd.
In an interview with NME, The Libertines' drummer recalled a story of performing at the Meltdown festival in 2004 which was curated by the singer.
The musician said he found the former Smiths' vocalist "rude" when they interacted in the past.
Powell claimed that the singer called him a "wazzock" at the time and never apologized for his actions.
The drummer, who's also a part of New York Dolls, added that Morrissey spoke to other bands including his bandmates, but he completely "blanked" the musician.
"He came up onstage, spoke to everybody in the New York Dolls, and completely blanked me. At the meet and greet afterwards, he didn't even look in my general direction," he added.
Not Gary Powell's First Negative Encounter With Morrissey
Later on, The Libertines met up with the singer to do a photo shoot for the outlet. Powell stood beside him and Morrissey was significantly quiet, seemingly refraining from speaking to him.
He tried making small talk by asking him questions like where he bought his ring, to which the vocalist coldly replied "Mexico."

"He showed his true colours and feelings towards me and it was a level of ignorance I can't be bothered to deal with," he added.
As of this writing, Morrissey has not publicly responded to the allegations.
Gary Powell's Other Shocking Revelations
Gary Powell has been in the industry for a long time and he also performed outside The Libertines with several iconic acts like Dirty Pretty Things, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Specials, and more.
Recalling his long history of performances in the past, one of his most bizzare encounters was when they performed alongside Sex Pistols.
In 2002, the group played The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine."
He noted that some of the other band's fans were "Nazi-esque" as they gave him Swastika salutes while they were playing the track.
Powell was offended by their actions, leading him to be pissed and wanted to "kick off with those guys."
In addition, there he also experienced racism and nobody stood up for him, not even the Sex Pistols on their own show.
Although he's not holding the situation against the other group, the drummer said if it happened to their headlining set, he would expect his bandmates to call out those people and kick them out of the venue.
