The good thing about having an impressive rise to stardom is that plenty of big acts are eager to showcase you to the world on their tours. The bad news is that you don't get to hold down a headline yourself. Kacey Musgraves will solve that problem on her upcoming "Same Trailer Different Tour."
The performer, who won 2013 Country Music Award New Artist of The Year, has toured with the likes of Kenny Chesney and Katy Perry, even writing Wizard of Oz-themed new tracks with the latter, but now she's got the spotlight all to herself for a tour, albeit a short one that will focus on the southern half of the country, opening in Oklahoma and working its way east to Savannah, GA. And who will get to handle the role Musgraves has embraced for nearly a year, as opener? John and Jacob, the same country-folk duo who joined her for her European tour last year.
The dates are below:
09/25: Tulsa, OK @ Cain's Ballroom
09/26: Springfield, MO @ Gillioz Theatre
09/27: Chicago @ Riviera Theatre
10/01: Dallas @ Granada Theater
10/02: Houston @ Warehouse Live
10/03: Baton Rouge, LA @ Varsity Theatre
10/04: Birmingham, AL @ Alabama Theatre

Still no word on a follow up to Same Trailer Different Park yet, although listeners are fond of "The Trailer Song," which may end up being a first single for a new album. Stay tuned.
