The Shooting
According to reports, A$AP Rocky arrived at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) on April 20 via a private plane from Barbados with singer Rihanna. This was a week prior to the birth of the pair's son.
A$AP Rocky, or Rakim Mayers, was arrested there by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for assault with a deadly weapon for an alleged shooting in November 2021. He was later bailed from jail after posting a $550 thousand bond.
During that time, the police withheld information about the victim from the public. They only provided details that the 33-year-old rapper fired at a man several times during a dispute.
While Rocky was not charged for the assault, he proceeded to Court. However, less than a week prior to the hearing, Relli revealed himself as the victim of the shooting.
According to a Rolling Stone report, Rocky lured Relli to an obscure location in central Hollywood with the rouse that they would "discuss a disagreement between the two of them."
Relli acquired minor injuries to his left hand from the shooting incident. Furthermore, according to Jamal Tooson and Brian Hurwitz, Relli's lawyers, the entire incident was captured by nearby surveillance cameras.
