Directioners are celebrating yet again after Zayn Malik posted a rare video of him singing the group's 2014 hit, "Night Changes."
This was not the first time that Malik shared a video of singing a One Direction hit. Earlier this June, he belted out his part on "You & I" in an 8-second clip.
Over the years, avid fans of the boy band have been very vocal in their hopes for a One Direction reunion. Does Zayn's new video suggest a potential comeback anytime soon?
Zayn Malik Sings 'Night Changes' In a Rare New Video
Zayn Malik has certainly given Directioners' a massive serotonin boost with his new video singing "Night Changes," One Direction's 2014 hit song.
Posting only a monochromatic 31-second video of him singing "Night Changes" while wearing a denim jumper, Zayn easily sings a part of an acoustic version of the song, as if the lyrics were made recently.
"Everything that you ever dream of, dissapearin' when you wake up, but there's nothing to be afraid of, even when the night changes, it will never change me and you," Zayn sang somberly. Notably, "Night Changes" was the last song in which he appeared on a music video with the entire group.
As of this writing, the video has already amassed 16.8 million views and over 235,000 comments from surprised fans.
Zayn's 46.6 million followers, including Directioners worldwide, were clearly surprised with how he managed to post two videos of him singing two One Direction hits in the last three months.
It was only over three months since Zayn posted a video of him singing "You & I," in what seemed t be his music room. Since the video took off, Zayn has been mum, like the silent person he is, on what the video meant.
Like the old one, Zayn did not post any message or caption in his Instagram post.
One Direction Reunion Possible After Zayn Malik Singing Video?
Zayn posting a video of him singing a One Direction song was quite a shock, considering his abrupt exit from the team in 2015, which saddened the fan base.
Since then, Zayn has commented sparsely on his time with the band, focusing more on his solo career.
Him singing "You & I" might be a good old throwback, but Directioners are holding onto hope that his second video, which is a rare occurrence, meant something else, possibly a highly-anticipated One Direction reunion.
Nothing has been confirmed yet. But it would seem like Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson's tour might be in the way. Not to mention, Liam Payne's recent backlash after exposing the team's dirty laundry in a podcast.
However, the video came weeks after "X-Factor" released an exclusive video of how then-judge Nicole Scherzinger selected the boys to be One Direction officially.
Since then, fans have been on the lookout that something grand in the works might be happening.
Meanwhile, Zayn's video, came on the same day that an "X-Factor" documentary was reported to have been in the works, exposing the show's "bullying, exploitation and harassment" claims from former contestants.
