Pale Waves has been making rounds in the music industry and they recently revealed that a legendary musician almost collaborated with them for their latest album; why did the collaboration not happen?
In an interview with NME's Big Read, the pop-punk band said they wanted to work with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker in the future.
The group also noted that they almost teamed up on a song in the past, but the collaboration did not push through because of a scheduling conflict.
Member Ciara Doran is hopeful that the song will happen in the future as she believes that their paths will cross again.
The four-piece band did not reveal which track from "Unwanted" was supposed to feature Barker.
How Are 3 Members of Pale Waves Today 2 Years After Shocking Accident?
Elsewhere in the interview, lead vocalist Heather Baron-Gracie got candid about the band's shocking bus crash.
The outlet noted that Pale Waves members Doran, Hugo Silvani, and Charlie Woods were involved in a near-fatal accident in February 2020.
At the time, they were opening for Halsey during her European arena tour and they were supposed to play at the Verti Music Hall in Berlin, Germany, at the time of the incident.
Their bus reportedly slid into a ditch when they were traveling across Germany and Sweden.
Fortunately for the group, everyone inside the vehicle was able to escape without having to suffer severe physical injuries.
Despite surviving, the band members reveal that they will never forget the horrific incident.
Baron-Gracie opted to take a flight to their next show instead of being with her team on the bus and she felt guilty about it.
Speaking about the life-changing incident, the musician said, "We have had to push ourselves to become mentally stronger, and I think that's a journey that's reflected in the new music."
Pale Waves' New Album 'Unwanted'
The band released their latest album titled "Unwanted" last weeks and fans have been vibing to it since it dropped.
The album heavily featured early 2000s pop-punk sound and references.
Speaking about the band's identity, Baron-Gracie said they don't need to fit society's standards and they won't apologize for expressing themselves.
"We don't need to apologise for being ourselves, and we won't change for anyone," she added.
"Unwanted" is currently available for streaming on various music platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
