Daft Punk Releases New Album 'Human After All: The Remixes'

Following their sweep of the Grammys, Daft Punk seemingly went on another hiatus but the electronic disco duo has returned with an album of remixes.

According to Vibe, Human After All: The Remixes was originally a Japan only release but now fans worldwide can hear the project via Spotify or purchase it on iTunes. The album was first released in 2006, Idolator reports.

The 15-track album features six remixes of 2005's "Technologic."

Basement Jaxx and Le Knight Club, a side project of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, make guest appearances on the album as well as Peaches and the Liquid Twins.

The new release also features work by Soulwax, Erol Alkan, Digitalism and Justice.

As noted by Rolling Stone, previously unreleased music by Daft Punk surfaced on the internet back in March.

A collaboration between Daft Punk and Jay Z called "Computerized" showed up through a Daft Punk fan site and shortly after, Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas, who joined the robots on the Random Access Memories track "Instant Crush," revealed that he has another collaboration with them waiting somewhere in the vaults.

While fans are anticipating more unreleased music, they can also look forward to a documentary about the duo. Back in June, Variety reported on BBC's announcement that it is producing an hour-long film.

The documentary will "chronicle the rise of and the artistic world of the two award-winning DJ's, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, who formed Daft Punk in the 90's and became the leading figures of the French Touch scene."

The film is to be directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre and co-written by Marina Rozenman.
