Chris Brown has stated that he is no longer invited to perform at award presentations, despite the fact that his concert tours are consistently sold out. Is he mad about it? Not really. But is he ranting about it? Oh yes.

As part of his current tour, the 33-year-old musician, who is no new to controversy, has been performing to near-capacity crowds. In a message originating from the artist and posted by DJ Akademiks, the Go Crazy artist wrote in all capital letters, '"New Mexico - you see the people??? Every show is packed like this... if it wasn't for my incredible fans I would've been quit."

He continued, "I don't like this fake celebrity s**t... Awards shows haven't let me perform in years...yet my show still sell out. Let me be great..."

Since then, Brown has modified the post, which incorporates video from the New Mexico performance, to remove the complaint about being ignored by award shows. Since the 2017 BET Awards, the R&B superstar has not performed at an awards ceremony.

The "No Guidance" musician did not specify a rationale for the exclusion, although his legal difficulties may provide insight.

The night before the 2009 Grammy Awards, he was found guilty of physically assaulting Rihanna in a Lamborghini.

According to the police report, the "Zero" singer and Rihanna got into an argument after the latter discovered a text from a prior girlfriend on Brown's phone.

The complaint said that the "Run It" rapper attempted to shove his then-girlfriend out of the car, and when he was unable to do so because she was wearing a seatbelt, he hit her and pushed her head against the window.

He allegedly fled while continuing to strike the "Umbrella" singer. Since then, Brown's reputation has been tainted, which naturally affected how he is perceived by the music industry. His fans though have continued to support him.

Brown pleaded guilty to the charges and was ultimately sentenced to five years of probation and one hundred and eighty days of community service. After a 2013 confrontation in Washington, D.C., the Questions musician was subsequently charged with felony assault.

After attempting to jump into a photo with Brown and a female fan, a man claims Brown and his security attacked him. The charge was reduced to a misdemeanor later on. In 2016, the "Iffy" singer was arrested for reportedly threatening a woman with a gun during a party at his Tarzana residence.
