The Weeknd might be visibly absent at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, but it's all for good reasons.
Abel, through his "After Hours Till Dawn" 2022 Tour, has recorded a huge number of sales, despite the concert show's many reported hurdles and accidents.
Recent data show that The Weeknd has already generated 8-digit sales in just a few shows yet, not nearly a quarter in the completion of his highly-anticipated world tour.
The Weeknd 'After Hours Till Dawn' Tour 2022 Sales
According to HiphopDX, The Weekend is pressed to have one of the biggest grossing tours in the music industry in the past few years, and he is not even done yet.
Recent data show that The Weeknd's "After Hours Till Dawn" Tour 2022 has already amassed $30 million just from the first four shows of his stadium tour in North America.
Touring data, a Worldwide Concert Grosses and Ticket Sales reporter says that four of The Weeknd's venues - Chicago's Soldier Field, FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland, New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, and Chicago's Soldier Field have already sold the said multimillion figure.
Over 190,000 tickets were already sold - which composed 4 out of the 19 reported venues across the country.
Based on the numbers, all of the four concerts are sold out. The MetLife Stadium has shown to be the highest grosser among the four, with almost 55,000 attendees, which brought $9.8 million alone.
Soldier Field in Chicago was near 49,000 attendees with $7.9 million worth of tickets. Foxboro's Gillette Stadium then raked 48.9k concertgoers, corresponding to $6.2 million tickets, while FedEx Field, Landover's 40,000 attendees, made $5.9 million.
But the "After Hours Till Dawn" did not have it easy in the past few months, as it was hit with issues almost every other month.
The Weeknd 'After Hours Till Dawn' 2022 Tour Problems, Issues
Supposedly, Doja Cat is opening The Weeknd's concert. But after she revealed online that she would be undergoing a major operation on her tonsils, she dropped out and was eventually placed - worrying fans who purchased tickets to see her.
After that, Abel's opening show in Toronto, Canada, met with a national power outage, prompting him to cancel on the day itself.
Very recently, one of his merchandise trucks caught on fire after his Las Vegas Concert last week.
But despite these hurdles, Abel is still in high spirits in finishing strong the "After Hours Till Dawn" 2022 Tour, which will probably reach a more outstanding feat once the data for the other tours is reported.
