Earlier this week, an alleged leaked tracklist of Taylor Swift's upcoming album made rounds online and it featured a band that many fans know and love. Recently, The 1975 frontman Matty Healy finally broke his silence and revealed the truth behind the rumored collaboration.

According to the rumored tracklist, Swift and the Manchester-based band will team up on a song titled "In My Dreams."

Aside from the group, the list also featured collaboration songs with Lana Del Rey for "Good In The Dark" and Stevie Nicks for "Halle."

To clear the speculations up, Healy took to his official Twitter account to reveal the truth, saying he would love for the collab to happen but "unfortunately FAKE NEWS."

As of this writing, Taylor Swift has not publicly unveiled the official tracklist of her upcoming album "Midnights."

Matty Healy's Response Garners Mixed Reactions From Fans

After Matty Healy shared his response, many fans immediately bombarded the reply section.

One fan noted that it's heartbreaking to hear that the collaboration is fake all along.

Another user replied that if it's fake, they should team up in the future, writing, "maybe not this time around but hopefully you guys will eventually collab with taylor."

Despite Healy clarifying the issue, many fans still don't believe him as they alleged that The 1975 indeed has a collaboration with Swift and they're just hiding it before it comes out.

Upon receiving her award at this year's MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, Taylor Swift surprised fans by announcing her 10th album.

Later that evening, she took to her social media accounts to announce the title of her upcoming record "Midnights."

The album will feature Side A and Side B which features 13 songs in total; The official tracklist still remains a mystery.

Describing the origin of her upcoming project, Swift noted that the songs are part of a collection of music that she wrote: "in the middle of the night."

On the other hand, The 1975 is set to release their highly-anticipated album "Being Funny In A Foreign Language" on October 14.

They already released three singles from the record titled "Part Of The Band," "Happiness," and "I'm In Love With You."

All songs mentioned above were accompanied by music videos.
