Offset came on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" to perform a medley of his recently-released singles, "Code" and "54321," and spoke about his upcoming solo album.
The talk show host opened up with the first birthday of Offset and Cardi B's son, Wave, and he eventually diverted the topic to Offset's other son, Jordan.
Apparently, the rapper caught his son working on a beat on his laptop, which caught him off guard.
"We was in the house and I went downstairs and he was on the computer and I heard, like, a beat being made," said the 30-year-old rapper.
"So I looked, and he making a beat [sic]. And I'm just listening so I record him and then I posted it. And everybody was like, 'Oh, this hard.'"
A New Collaborator
Offset might just be the world's proudest father at that moment because he just found himself a new collaborator.
Jordan, his eldest son, the rapper explained, was more inclined to sports, "He always played sports, football, basketball. He always been good at that [sic]."
He was pleasantly surprised, however, when he found out because he had "no clue" his son could make a beat.
"I'm just trying to let him get nice and seasoned and then I'm probably gon' do something with him for the album," he said. "I feel like that'd be crazy."
Old Collaborators
Aside from the topic involving his sons, Fallon asked about "The Hype," HBO Max's competition series on streetwear, where Offset is one of the judges and producers.
However, a topic most notably not mentioned during the sit-down interview was the rapper's previous collaborators, Migos.
In August, the trio allegedly split up and went their separate ways, with Offset pursuing a solo career, dropping "Code" featuring Moneybagg Yo and "54321."
While the remaining Migo members, Quavo and Takeoff, have been releasing music as a duo and are currently gearing up for the release of their forthcoming album.
Fans began speculating early on, however, the release of their single "Us Vs. Them," featuring Gucci Mane sort of confirmed their suspicions.
With the announcement of new albums, fans already put two and two together. A Twitter user wrote, "The Migos really not a group no more.. Them boys swore they was never gone break up [sic]."
A devastated fan tweeted: "can't believe I lived long enough to see the Migos break up. 2015 me would be so sad." Some shared their sentiments regarding Offset's decision to go solo, "Besides me just not wanting to Migos break up. Looking at [Offset's] solo catalog it's prob best career-wise for him if Migos didn't break up." Some even went as far as creating theories on whether or not the Migos have really split up.
