PnB Rock's untimely and tragic death led the internet to blame everything on his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang. The 30-year-old became the latest hip-hop artist to die following a fatal shooting in Los Angeles.
The incident happened on Monday while he and Sibounheuang were dining at Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles.
Although the girlfriend was safe after the shooting, she shared a photo of their Roscoe's meal on her Instagram Stories. This caused fans to assume that the post gave away the rapper's location, leading the shooters to him.
With that, PnB's fans and friends, including Kodak Black, put the blame on Sibounheuang and said that the rapper should not have died if she did not post anything about the outing. Meanwhile, some suggested that the girlfriend should be arrested for leaking the location, although it was unintentional.
They also compared it to Pop Smoke's death, a rapper who died in Los Angeles in 2020 during a robbery. Like what happened to PnB, his location was made known when he shared a video on his Instagram Stories that unveiled the address of the place he was staying at, at that time.
Despite that, several artists and internet users defend her, saying that PnB's death would leave a huge impact on her life and mental health.
Cardi B tweeted: "I highly doubt nikkas was looking at [PnB's] babymom IG. He was in a bad location and people stay outside plotting. It's very irresponsible and inconsiderate to blame her for something so tragic."
She added that people should, instead, send her nothing but love amid the trying time.
