If Kate Bush fans could have a deal with God, they wanted Rita Ora to stop singing "Running Up The Hill."

A flurry of angry Kate Bush fans has stormed to Twitter reacting to Rita Ora's cover of the now-trending song.

The "Black Widow" singer sang the song at the Rock in Rio MultiShow festival in Brazil earlier this week.

With the song's recent resurgence in popular culture, thanks to the Netflix-hit show "Stranger Things," the Kate Bush classic soared to new heights on all charts worldwide. Covers of the song have extremely become popular, including Kim Petras, Loveless, Placebo, and even Halsey has done it.

Rita Ora 'Running Up That Hill' Performance in Brazil

Months late to the trend, Rita Ora decided she could give her own spin to the rock classic. Although on the clip, Ora seemed to have the crowd roaring - Twitter was otherwise a relentless place where the video should be.

One fan even jokingly pointed out that Kate Bush should actually ban her from singing the song.

Some have even likened it to Fergie's over-stylized "Star Spangled Banner" performance in 2018.

Other fans came into the defense of Ora, noting that the now trending clip of the performance was just the last part and that the first few parts were better than the last. Netizens still pushed back, standing firm that the first part was no better than the last one.

Some fans did not mince their words in their scathing review of Rita Ora's performance.

Since her performance at the Brazil festival, Rita Ora has not responded to the backlash that her performance had received online.

However, she posted on her Instagram a carousel of photos of her trip to Rio, including a sizzling green checkered bikini on her hotel room's patio facing the beachfront.

"Running Up That Hill" has soared to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts this year, a huge climb since its last charting decades ago at No. 30.

On last week's Billboard Charts the track is at No. 9, nosediving from the No. 4 spot the week before. Over to the UK Singles chart, the track has peaked at No. 1, dethroning Harry Styles' "As It Was" for a number of weeks.
