Jeff Watson gave a positive update about his health after undergoing major surgery.

Watson, the former guitarist of Night Ranger, sparked a major concern when he revealed that he had to undergo brain surgery that led him to be admitted to the ICU.

In an update on Facebook, the musician revealed that he faced a worrying health issue that required him to undergo the procedure.

"I've been in ICU for two weeks after having two holes drilled through my skull for access to my brain to put in a drain pipe to remove the blood gathering in my brain cavity two weeks ago so I wouldn't die," he said.

He expressed his gratitude to the neurosurgeon who helped him recover from the health ordeal.

Watson also had another procedure on Wednesday. The operation, at that time, aimed to stop an artery from leaking into his cranial cavity. He reportedly received IV sedation enough to keep him awake to respond to his surgeon's commands.

The musician recalled feeling a sharp pain when the catheter hit his brain. When it happened, he suddenly felt frightened and strange, but the medical team assured him everything would be okay.

Fortunately, he survived all of those procedures and went home to continue his recovery.

His fans immediately left heartfelt and get well soon messages on his post. He did not mention whether he would still have a follow-up procedure.

Jeff Watson's Journey With Night Ranger

Before his life-changing surgery, Watson worked with Night Ranger for decades before his exit in 2007.

He first joined the band before the release of its debut LP, "Dawn Patrol," in 1982. He left in the 1990s to pursue a solo career before returning in 1996 and leaving for good years later.

In an interview with Ultimate Classic Rock in 2015, he revealed that his exit was too sad that he did not want to dwell on it.

"I think everybody just has to live with the outcome, and that's all in the rear-view mirror, as it were. I have nothing but the best wishes for everybody in whatever they pursue in their life, I really do," he said.

Still, Watson described it as a great time in his life, recalling the fun he felt when he was in the band.

But after the reunion and great shows, "things" still happened and led him to his exit.
