It looks like Camila Cabello's journey as a new coach at The Voice would not be as easy as she thinks it would be as longstanding coach Blake Shelton is setting up to be her formidable foe on the reality singing competition.

County music icon Blake Shelton, who has been with The Voice since its first season has held his seniority among the existing pool of judges, his wife Gwen Stefani and John Legend.

Shelton, in the show, has been known for his comedic on-screen banter and fights with his fellow judges, especially then Coach Kelly Clarkson. Since Kelly left, it would seem like Camila is Blake's next target.

Camila Cabello as 'The Voice' Coach

Earlier this year, "The Voice" announced that Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande would be exiting the show after 8 seasons and 1 season, respectively. Camila Cabello and returning coach Gwen Stefani replaced Clarkson and Grande.

On her first day as a Coach, Cabello seemed to be in good spirits and has gotten along well with the other coaches.

Camila was not entirely new to The Voice as she had been Team Legend's guest coach last season. Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani, who returned this season along with Cabello complimented the 25-year-old popstar on doing so well with the coaching despite being new to the show.

For the "Havana" hitmaker, becoming a coach at "The Voice" is a full circle moment as she started from "X-Factor" as a contestant, and sprung to be one of this generation's blossoming popstars.

However, it would seem like, Cabello's addition to the show has stirred up some on-screen banter with Blake Shelton, who is notoriously known for "doing whatever it takes" to steal a contestant from other judges.

Blake Shelton vs Camila Cabello on 'The Voice': Are They Really Feuding?

According to Entertainment Weekly, "The Voice" Season 22 Premiere episode has already beefed up Team Legend, Team Gwen, and Team Camila, with the latter taking two out of three four-chair-turners of the night.

Sadly, Team Blake was empty-handed. Fighting for both country artists that surprisingly went to Team Camila, Blake seemed to be annoyed, the same way he was annoyed at Kelly Clarkson at the time, for stealing artists that he wanted.

In one of the outtakes, Blake jokingly told host Carson Daly that he is "not impressed" with Camila Cabello, prompting the Latina singer to dish out a snarky comeback.

"That's what a very threatened person would say. You're just trying to intimidate me. It's not working," Camilla said, prompting laughs from the crowd.

Morgan Myles and Orlando Mendez, both having country roots, and four-chair-turns, and initially expressing to go to Team Blake took a last-minute detour to Team Camila at the end.

In an interview on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," Blake told then-Coach Kelly that they finally found someone who can talk as much as her, in the form of Camila Cabello.

Season 22 of "The Voice" airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
