The Super Bowl Halftime Show has been showcasing big talents from the music industry over the past few decades. Today, many fans are still waiting for them to feature Taylor Swift and news recently broke out that she might be performing next year; could this be true?
Earlier this week, it was announced that Apple Music would be sponsoring the National Football League's Super Bowl halftime show after Pepsi announced that they wouldn't be returning as a sponsor.
After the news made rounds online, Swifties immediately speculated that the "Paper Rings" hitmaker would be the one performing on the show this coming February.
"taylor swift x apple music x super bowl is SUCH a powerful partnership like WOW," one fan wrote.
However, People Magazine confirmed that Taylor Swift will not perform at the halftime show despite many people's speculations.
As of this writing, the pop star has not commented on the matter. Her team has also not confirmed whether she'll appear at NFL events in the future.
Taylor Swift New Album 2022
Fans shouldn't be sad that Taylor Swift won't be performing at the halftime show next year as she still has a treat for her supporters.
During this year's MTV Video Music Awards, the "Don't Blame Me" hitmaker announced that she would be releasing her 10th studio album.
Later that evening, she finally unveiled the official album art and title of the record, "Midnights," which will be released on October 21, 2022.

The album is expected to have 13 new songs that stemmed from sleepless nights that the award-winning singer had throughout her career. In addition, there will be a Target-exclusive edition that would feature three more bonus songs.
Recently, Swift started a new segment on her official TikTok account titled "Midnights Mayhem with Me" where she unveils the official tracklist of her upcoming album one day at a time.
"I know I have a habit of dropping cryptic clues and easter eggs when giving you information about new music, and I'm not here to deny that, but I am here to defy that," she said on the first episode.
The singer then used a randomizer and gave her the ball with the number "13" on it, which signifies the 13th track titled "Mastermind."
