What was supposed to be a post about 50 Cent bonding with his son, became somewhat of an issue when he captioned it with "oh s**t, that's your mommy over there with Puffy. LOL. Remember what I told you the other day, these [b***hes] be crazy. SMH."
The mother of his son, Daphne Joy, was having none of it, as she commented on the post, "Please stop doing this to me. I never bother you and I'm an outstanding mother to our son. Can we please just focus on that? Please."
Her Side
To further address the rapper's claim, she took to Instagram, posting a screenshot of her open message penned to both 50 and the public. "I hate speaking about my private life on social media," she began. "But I feel like it needs to be addressed."
"I'm so tired of my narrative being what it is. I was in a [two] year relationship 10+ years ago and out of the relationship God blessed me with a beautiful, healthy baby boy," she wrote, referring to her son with 50, Sire Jackson.
She then explained that she and 50 have long since parted ways and she has stayed out of his way, focusing solely on their child's well-being "emotionally, spiritually, and everything in between."
"I just want to be happy and be left alone," she added. "[...] when I finally show a glimpse of my happiness, I feel I'm attacked for it."
This is in reference to 50 accusing her of having a romantic relationship with music mogul Diddy. According to reports, a video of Joy enjoying Diddy's performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival circulated on social media which sparked dating rumors between the two.
"I'm so tired of defending my character, being prejudged, and constantly being villainized. I'm not doing anything wrong I wish no ill to anyone. I just want to be happy," she concluded her message.
The two have been co-parenting their son since the split over a decade ago without much of a fuss in public. This marks the first time either of them has spoken up about their relationship as co-parents.
Since the entire exchange was done through Instagram, it was quite a spectacle for fans, as they commented on the posts.
"Baby dads be bitter," commented a user on 50's Instagram post.
"Caught ya Momma over there with Puffy in 3-D," another wrote, poking fun at how the father and son were wearing 3-D glasses in the picture.
"Diddy soon be his daddy," joked another.
Meanwhile, at Joy's post, a lot of women came to her support. Terricka Cromartie, TV personality, commented, "I love you, sis! Keep living in your truth. I have [witnessed] your growth and I'm so proud of you. You deserve it all.. keep living in your truth. You're a bad**s mom, fine as f**k and on top of that a good f**king human.. love always babes."
Australian model Emily Sears also showed her support, "you're an excellent mother and a class act, always. You're a hard-working woman and you've always carried yourself with grace. You deserve your peace and I'm sorry it's being interfered with."
As of this writing, 50 is yet to share his two cents on what his ex had to say about his attempts at trolling her.
