UPDATE 11:50 AM: According to TMZ, authorities apprehended the 17-year-old son of prime suspect Freddie Trone in connection with the shooting of PnB Rock.

They claimed that the son was the gunman and Trone was the getaway driver.

Trone and his son were already reportedly in the restaurant's parking lot when PnB Rock arrived, reducing the likelihood that PnB was targeted because of a social media post from his girlfriend Stephanie showing them dining at Roscoe's. According to reports, the suspects destroyed the getaway car after the shooting.

Trone is still on the loose

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: The police have finally provided an update on the suspect in PnB Rock's death.

TMZ said on Wednesday that officials have identified a suspect in the rapper's death at a Los Angeles restaurant earlier this month.

They are appealing to the public for assistance in locating him.

Investigators identified Freddie Lee Trone as the shooter who killed Rakim Allen on September 12 when he was enjoying lunch with his girlfriend, Stephanie, at a Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles restaurant on the 100 block of West Manchester Avenue.

The guy allegedly seized PnB Rock's gold and diamond chains and demanded stuff from his girlfriend before fleeing the scene in a waiting automobile.

Police believe Stephanie's social media post alerted Trone to the rapper's whereabouts. Earlier in the day, he also posted a video of himself wearing his pricey jewelry.

During that time, authorities were able to capture surveillance film that may have assisted in identifying the shooter, but they have finally done so.

Trone is considered armed and dangerous by officials, and anybody who encounters him should phone 911 immediately for assistance.

This story is developing.
