Cardi B was one of the few rappers who stood by PnB Rock's girlfriend when people blamed her for the infamous Instagram post. Now that new updates regarding the investigation have been released, it seems that fans owe the late rapper's girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang, an apology.

According to reports, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) named an individual named Freddie Lee Trone as "a person involved" in the shooting of PnB Rock on Sept. 12. He is currently not in police custody, and could possibly be armed, the police department warned.

"Told y'all......Yall must not know how the hood moves," wrote Cardi on Twitter following the newly announced updates. "Y'all owe that girl a apology for the shit y'all put her through knowing that she saw her baby dad die in her face. [sic]"

"Social media investigators, y'all suck!" She added in all capital letters.

Report

LAPD arrested a woman and a 17-year-old who are suspects in the crime last Sept. 27. As one of the suspects is a minor, his name was not disclosed by the police department, however, they named his step-mother, Shauntel Trone, 32, and arrested her under the suspicion that she served as an accessory to the crime, reports say. Furthermore, the police department shut down the rumors that Sibounheuang's Instagram post was the reason behind the attack. According to sources, the father and son were already present at Roscoe's parking lot when the rapper arrived. While the rapper's slaying case was still in the early days of investigation, some people linked Sibounheuang's post and the attack. Some rappers, like Nicki Minaj, stood by this line of thinking, adding that the girlfriend was wrong to put up their location on the Internet for everyone to see, making them vulnerable to attacks.

On the other hand, Cardi was already defending the woman, "I highly doubt n***as was looking at PMB's babymom IG, [sic]" she wrote on Twitter.

"He was in a bad location and people stay outside plotting. It's very irresponsible and inconsiderate to blame her for something so tragic. We should be sending nothing but love to her and his family at this time."

Another rapper who blamed Sibounheuang was Kodak Black who aired out his frustrations on Instagram and wrote, "that h*e might as well kill herself."

Fans React

The Hip Hop community rallied against the violence and the growing numbers of rappers being killed in recent years. However, fans were also quick to point out that the blame was never on Sibounheuang, but on the person who fired the gun at PnB Rock.

"Is anyone mad at the actual killer?" Wrote a Twitter user.

Another user tweeted: "I wish ppl would stop blaming her. nobody knows what happened. it could have been people who followed him there, people who were already there, etc. [sic]"

"Y'all are really blaming everyone except the shooter," another tweeted.

Now, more than ever, people are speaking up against the victim blaming that was done prior to the LAPD's announcement.

"Where's all the 'it's because they posted the location' people at now? Articles said they was in the parking lot when rock pulled up . Still sad either way. [sic]" A Twitter user wrote.
