Social media was stunned upon hearing that Country music singer HARDY was involved in a massive vehicular accident in Bristol, Tennesee, early Sunday morning, hours after their recent show in the state.

According to The Tennessean, HARDY was hospitalized after sustaining injuries following their tour bus crash. Reports say that the bus coming home from Bristol overturned on a portion of Interstate 40 West near Nashville at the Wilson and Davidson County line.

Hardy was one of the four people on the bus, including the driver.

In his Instagram post, HARDY revealed that they have been treated for their "significant injuries." The bus driver, on the other hand, is still in the process of treatment. Based on the call for prayers that the singer has put out, it would seem like the driver was still in bad shape.

On the other hand, HARDY confirmed that he is already out of the hospital and has been ordered specifically to undergo recovery.

"I've been released from the hospital but ordered by doctors to recover for the next few weeks, which may cost us at a couple of shows. My team and I will keep the fans updated on that as I rest for a couple of days. Please keep our road family in your prayers, and I promise to keep you updated in the days to follow. God bless our medics and local and state officials for their quick response and incredible service," HARDY says.

Per Variety, the country singer's team has refused to comment further on the accident.

In a follow-up Instagram story, HARDY, formally known as Michael Wilson Hardy, posted a selfie with his fiancee, Caleigh Ryan, thanking everyone for the calls and texts they received during the worrying accident. "I'm alive, and that's all that matters," he wrote on the selfie.

Hardy was on the way home from a Virginia's Country Thunder event after headlining a concert with his good friend, Morgan Wallen, Tracy Lawrence, Ian Munsick, and Lauren Alaina.

With the recent accident, it is not known if he will still continue to perform as an opening act for Morgan Wallen at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, this coming October 8.

Hardy is currently making strides in the country music scene after being hailed as the Songwriter of the Year at the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards.
