Country music star Loretta Lynn, who famously released the hit songs like "The Pill," died. She was 90.
Lynn's publicist and family confirmed the singer's tragic death, saying that she died at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, on Tuesday.
"Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home at her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills," the bereaved family said in a statement to Rolling Stone.
The statement did not share her cause of death but talks about her health issues and past drug used reemerged.
Loretta Lynn's Cause of Death
Following the announcement of Lynn's death, fans flocked online and talked about the recent loss. According to some, her passing was not that surprising as she had been suffering from health issues in the years leading to her death.
In fact, those issues caused her to quit touring.
For what it's worth, the Grammy Award-winning crooner suffered several falls and a stroke over the years. In 2016, she revealed that she was recovering at home after suffering a fall.
While she was still well at that time, her doctors told her not to hold tours temporarily to make a full recuperation.
The following year, she was rushed to a hospital after suffering a stroke. Lynn, at that time, was put under medical care but made a full recovery.

"It's amazing to see the will and fire she has inside ... Nothing can get her down, and nothing will get her down. ... She's still witty. She's still very sharp. She's still very funny. When I went over there last week she said she's writing songs and playing the guitar, so it's really awesome to get to see that," her grandson, Anthony Brutto, said. He was the one who called the ambulance after the singer's stroke.
In 2018, she broke her hip after falling again on New Year's Day. Her son, Russell, already expressed his concerns about his mother's condition at that time.
During the same year, Lynn revealed she was sick due to an undisclosed illness.
Because of the health issues, a hoax death article surfaced in 2019, claiming that Lynn passed away. It was immediately debunked by her family and representative.
