Alt-rock superstar Beck will be kicking off the 40th season of Austin City Limits, the PBS live concert series filmed in Austin, Texas. Though the season is set to premiere on Oct. 4, you can check out one of the songs from Beck's hour-long set right now: a performance of his breakthrough single "Loser" from his 1994 album Mellow Gold.
Prior to Beck's performance on the Oct. 4 season premiere of Austin City Limits, PBS will air a retrospective special titled Austin City Limits Celebrates 40 Years on Oct. 3 from 9-11 p.m. ET.
Among the other performers announced so far for this season of Austin City Limits are Ed Sheeran, Nine Inch Nails, Nick Cave & The Sad Seeds, Tweedy, and Los Lobos.

Beck's most recent studio album was the country-flavored Morning Phase, which was selected by Music Times as one of the best albums released so far in 2014.
