Diddy and Ma$e's feud has been going on for years and the former recently appeared in an interview where he called out the rapper for owing him millions of dollars as well as labeling him as a con artist. The big question that fans want to know is; how did their beef start?
According to Uproxx, their fight dates back during the late 90s when Ma$e decided to leave the music industry in 1999 to focus on going into ministry. It didn't take long for him to return as he released an album in 2004 titled "Welcome Back" and in 2009.
During a live radio interview during his second return, the rapper presented Diddy with documents, asking the record producer to let him go from his Bad Boy contract.
The musician gave in and sign the papers, but it was revealed they allowed the rapper to be featured on tracks by other artists, meaning he's still under the record company.
A few years later, Ma$e claimed that he doesn't have any obligations or contracts with Bad Boy, then he became vocal about his issues with Diddy, also known as Puff Daddy.
He later shared a post on Instagram, which he deleted, alleging that the famed producer refused to sell him the publishing from his previous records despite offering $2 million compared to his original $20,000 advance decades ago.
In addition, he claimed that Diddy sabotaged his performance at Lovers & Friends Festival earlier this year.
"Thank you Puff, you know he paid for that right? I got you n****. I heard you loud and clear," he told the crowd.
Diddy, Ma$e's Latest Drama
A few days ago, Puff appeared at the "Breakfast Club" show where he responded to Ma$e's claims about purposely starving his artist and has been unfair to him despite helping him get the Icon Award.
The post has already been deleted by the rapper, but Diddy responded, saying he only did one album with the hitmaker, which is his first record "Harlem World."
He also claims that the rapper is a con artist as he allegedly became a "fake pastor" that fooled people.
"y'all gonna let him throw dirt on the god's name. Anybody can come and step up. Bring your receipts. But I'm not playing," he noted.
Diddy didn't stop with his claims as he revealed Ma$e owes him a shocking amount of $3 million from an advance that never came to fruition.
