After a succesful rollout of his latest album, Kid Cudi is contemplating his next steps on his career. Surprisingly, it would not be concerning his music career.
Released last Sept. 30, 2022, Kid Cudi's "Entergalactic," was released via Republic Records. Coming along with it is a Netflix special of the same name, serving as a companion piece of Kid Cudi's eighth studio album.
In an interview at the First We Feast's Hot Ones channel, Kid Cudi was asked about his longevity in the hip-hop scene, a thing he shared with many rappers like Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, and many others. (via PEOPLE Magazine)
"But I don't feel like I have what they have. I just don't know if I wanna do music, drop albums for too much longer, you know? I'm kind of nearing the end on all things Kid Cudi, I think," he said in a statement.
Since his debut in 2009, Kid Cudi has made strides in the music industry as a rapper.
In 2012, Kid Cudi earned two GRAMMY Awards for his song "All of the Lights" with Kanye West, Rihanna, and Fergie for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Rap Song. On the other hand, "Day 'n' Nite," a song he released in 2011, won him his first BET Hip Hop Award for Best Hip Hop Video.
Asked what route he would be taking, Cudi surprised everyone with a rather unexpected answer.
"I'm really curious to see what else I can do. I was thinking about this - and this is like a wacky idea I had years ago. But it would be cool to, like, one day be a kindergarten teacher. And just do that for a couple years," Kid Cudi admitted.

For the "Pursuit of Happiness" hitmaker, he would want to "infect the youth" with freshness.
"Get 'em young, and then those kids will just sprinkle the freshness to the world, and I'll just be like, 'Yes! Yes!'" he continued.
Last year, Kid Cudi earned various nominations for her song with Ariana Grande, "Just Look Up."
The track was nominated for Best Original Song by Chicago Indie Critics, Hollywood Music in Media Awards, Critics' Choice Movie Awards, Denver Film Critics Society, DiscussingFilm Critics Awards, Georgia Film Critics Association, and Hawaii Film Critics Society.
Successfully, the track won the 2022 Society of Composers & Lyricists Award for Outstanding Original Song for a Comedy or Musical Visual Media Production.
