Charlie Puth became a viral sensation singer after he uploaded a video of himself singing Adele's "Someone Like You", and in 2011, he signed a label deal with Ellen DeGeneres' eleveneleven label, and the rest is history.

Although there is no bad blood between the 30-year-old and the 64-year-old, he revealed that he was not well taken care of at her label.

This comes after Greyson Chance spoke up about his treatment under the label, according to reports.

Puth clarified that he and Chance had different experiences, however, agreed on certain points. "But I do agree with him that nobody was really present, certainly after the creation of my first demo EP."

"I didn't really hear from anybody after that. Not putting any blame just on one person, but from a collective, all the people that were in that room, they just disappeared," he shared.

In his interview with Rolling Stone, he further explained that despite the allegations of DeGeneres' rude behavior, he did not experience that at all during his stay at eleveneleven.

"People describe Ellen as rude. I've never experienced that," he said. "Maybe she likes me."

According to reports, a source close to the former talk show host's team did not "recall" the treatment Puth claimed he experience with the label.

Puth is known for his songwriting and producing skills, and it was what he relied on. "I realized that I'm capable of a lot of things, and making an album is one of them - and I'm gonna do this myself," he said.

Puth rose to prominence after winning an online video competition. He is best known for his viral hits like "See You Again," with Wiz Kalifa, and "Marvin Gaye," featuring Meghan Trainor in 2015.

"See You Again" peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, received a platinum certification, and was nominated for Best Original Song Golden Globe Award and three other nominations at the 2016 Grammy Awards. The "Lightswitch" singer is now signed under Atlantic.

As of this writing, Degeneres has not addressed the accusations against her label directly.
