For most bands and artists, a reconstruction of their social media pages mostly, if not always, signifies that a new era is about to dawn.
Blink-182 fans were sent into a frenzy recently after finding out that the band's official Instagram account has been wiped out and is undergoing construction.
Aside from this, their bio was changed to "Crappy Punk Rock since 1992," along with the band's website.
Fans were surprised by this new development, as rumors of the band reuniting and coming into a new era have been widely reported in the past few weeks. (via NME)
To make matters more interesting, a billboard erected in Peru features what seemed to be a new blink-182 logo clad in a black background.
A photo on Reddit is also making waves after a flurry of posters from 182 Industries are posted along Manhattan. A website is listed on the poster, but if one would take the time and hit it out on a browser, it directly leads to the band's official website, which is "under construction."
Over to Twitter blink-182's official Twitter account has liked tweets about a reunion dating back to 2012 and 2013.
If that doesn't mean a comeback, what else could that possibly be?
However, an "original" comeback with Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom DeLonge is still on the fence from happening.
Earlier this year, current guitarist Matt Skiba expressed uncertainty about his position in the band, fueling rumors of Tom DeLonge's return to the band. However, Mark Hoppus refuted, although indirectly, DeLonge's return.
Skiba, however, was re-affirmed with his position as Hoppus emphasized that official announcements would only come from their social media pages.
But, weeks later, the idea was revisited again as Hoppus confirmed to PEOPLE Magazine that he had met recently with Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker while he was receiving treatment for his cancer diagnosis.
"I keep writing music, and I'm open to whatever the next phase of Blink is,. I'm hopeful for the future. I'm just damn glad to be here," he said in a statement.
With the emergence of mysterious posters and billboards, it is not clear yet whether Blink-182 would reunite with DeLonge along with Skiba, who had replaced him initially, or the former would be added to the mix.
