Will K.K. Downing reunite with Judas Priest over a decade since he left the band?
Downing surprised Judas Priest's fans when he got on stage with other members during the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony earlier this year. He reunited with Les Binks, Rob Halford, Ian Hill, Glenn Tipton, Scott Travis, and Dave Holland to receive the honor.
Ahead of the Rock Hall ceremony, he set the record straight about whether he is open for another reunion or not.
In an exclusive interview with Ultimate Classic Rock and Culture, Downing confirmed he would appear with the band again. He even compared his current situation to riding the proverbial bicycle.
"It's what I've done so many times. It's almost like cracking a beer, let alone riding a bike. It's embedded in me. It's what I do. So it'll be quite something to look forward to, just to get up there and crank the amps up and just do it once again, for that short moment in time," he said.
It only confirmed that he would be part of Judas Priest's special moment on the November 5 induction ceremony in Los Angeles, where the band would receive the Musical Excellence Award.
Downing's statement clarified what Halford said, saying that he was as much in the dark as anybody else regarding Judas Priest's status with the members.
Halford, however, said that emails had been going on - something Downing confirmed in his recent interview. He disclosed that he and Binks would perform together.
Why Did K.K. Downing Leave Judas Priest?
Downing's recent reunion with Judas Priest came over a decade after he exited the band.
As quoted by Louder, he told fans he decided to finally depart from the metal legends because of "an ongoing breakdown in working relationships between myself, elements of the band, and management for some time."

For Judas Priest's current guitarist Richie Faulkner, who replaced Downing, everyone should talk to each other like how they used to and set aside the issues they went through as musicians.
Downing's return was not that surprising to some since Hill himself already hinted at his bandmate's comeback since those who became part of the Judas Priest in the past two decades should stand on stage.
Judas Priest's Musical Excellence award will also be given to Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
