Monday, October 17th, N.O.R.E. addressed the flak he's received for having Kanye West on his Revolt TV show, Drink Champs. He revealed he kind of regretted he had the singer over.

The 45-year-old fashion mogul and rapper, now known as Ye, spoke with hosts N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN for about 45 minutes discussing a variety of issues, including his beliefs regarding George Floyd's death, how Jewish people control media and entertainment, and Drake's success in hip-hop, among others.

N.O.R.E told Hot 97's Pete Rosenberg and Laura Stylez that the logic was the same as them giving him the platform. He said he believes that these hosts have affection and respect for him, and believe that he should have a say. It's the same with him inviting West.

He revealed that he has a connection with Ye. When Ye was experiencing many of the difficulties he was experiencing, he would call N.O.R.E and truly listen to and follow his counsel. Consequently, N.O.R.E said he felt in control of the situation.

He initially believed that I could manage the interview, but quickly realized that he could not.

N.O.R.E. continued by stating, as a Black man, he feel like" I failed," but defended his position by stating that as a journalist, the interview was a success.

Because one is not supposed to have an opinion as a journalist, he explained. Later, the artist apologized for providing his friend with a platform to broadcast what many critics are deeming to be hate speech.

However, he also claims he confronted his longtime friend about his controversial remarks about George Floyd and the Jewish community within minutes of the interview beginning.

The Drink Champs interview follows Ye's removal from Twitter and Instagram following a series of anti-Semitic tweets, as well as condemnation over his "White Lives Matter" shirt at Paris Fashion Week.

Ye also went off on Jewish people dominating the media and entertainment, and blamed "Jewish Zionists" for sensationalist articles about his ex-wife Kim Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson. Watch N.O.R.E.'s full walk-back of his interview with Ye below.
