It appears that Camila Cabello is still seeking for a relationship after her break-up with Shawn Mendes, but she recently made a confession about online dating.
Speaking on Tuesday's episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," the "Señorita" songstress said she tried her luck at love by using a dating app, but she didn't last long.
After using the unnamed app for 24 hours, she "left" immediately, but there was one unforgettable encounter that made her question people's intentions.
"The first guy that DMed me was, like, an aspiring singer-songwriter from Nashville. I was just like, 'I feel weird because somebody could be using me.' Does that make sense?" she said. (via Billboard)
Cabello went on to say that she "don't even know" what to do now, but she credits her friends for being "amazing" as they always vet guys that she meets.
Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes Split
The recent interview comes months after Camila Cabello spoke to "New Music Daily's" Zane Lowe to promote her song "Bam Bam" and talk about her album "Familia."
At the time, people speculated that her Ed Sheeran collaboration song was inspired by her break-up with Shawn Mendes.
In her conversation with the host, the singer spoke of her ex-boyfriend, saying she loves him and there's nothing but love for him.
"This song is mostly just about like, 'Okay, how do I make a song that shows the cycles of love, and life'... You know, whatever it is that's going on in your life," she explained. (via Teen Vogue)
In addition, the former Fifth Harmony member revealed that her priorities "fluctuated" over the years, including when she was dating the singer as she always wanted to live a happy life and be in a happy relationship.
Since realizing that she was getting older, her focus shifted and it was one of the reasons why the two of them broke up, adding that them starting out at a very young age was also a contributing factor.
According to Glamour Magazine, the ex-couple first met when Fifth Harmony and Mendes were opening for Austin Mahone.
Dating rumors began swirling in 2015 when they collaborated on "I Know What You Did Last Summer" but they didn't start their PDA until 2019.
Last November, the pair announced their breakup on social media, saying they decided to split but their love for each other as humans will remain.
