50 Cent is among the latest set of people who have spoken out against fellow rapper Kanye West over his controversial views and statements on social media.
West had been in the headlines for weeks already, stemming from his "White Lives Matter" statement shirts to his antisemitic outburst on Instagram and Twitter, from which he was banned eventually.
Speaking to Hot 97's "Ebro in the Morning" show, 50 Cent gave his "two cents" on Kanye's recent antisemitic tweets.
"I think he's in a dangerous area. I forgive him for the things that he said, because I've already identified when something's going on that I don't understand," the rapper admitted.
But 50 Cent's tone was rather despondent. Although he pointed out that Kanye's "outrageous, button-pushing behavior" has been a norm, he believes that Kanye does this just to provoke and create more fuss about him. (via Billboard)
"There's nothing for me to say about it, though. I watch it take place and I just look and I go, 'OK ... yeah,' that's just him doing what he does. What Kanye would do. Even the original Trump support thing was a little out there for me. Everybody looks at things, they navigate things differently. One week it's 'I don't want my kids raised by a white woman,' and the next week it's 'I wanna go home.' So you don't know exactly what he means ... Crazy's unpredictable, unpredictability's entertaining," he furthered.
But despite West's behavior, Cent believes he is aware of what he is causing: "he's not crazy where he doesn't know what he's saying. He knows exactly what he's saying."
The "Donda" rapper has been gaining massive media attention again recently. Many have called him "crazy," like 50's recent statement. But to many's surprise and confusion, Kanye West feels "hurt" when he is called the word.
Revealing in an interview with Fox's Tucker Carlson, Kanye West opened up that it "hurt" his feelings when he is being called "crazy." Unbeknownst to many, Kanye has been clinically diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. But her then-wife Kim Kardashian revealed to Vogue that Kanye had strayed away from pharmaceuticals to treat his illness.
"He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bipolar disorder," Kim said at the time about Kanye West.
