An entertainment company is suing Nicki Minaj for showing up late for an event, acting like a diva, and leaving early, Page Six reports. The $50,000 lawsuit is being brought forth by IMP Entertainment, who claim the "Anaconda" femcee failed to hold up her end of the deal to host an NBA All-Star Weekend event in Hollywood on February 19, 2011.
Minaj was 90 minutes late for her one-hour gig and left after 30 minutes, claim the documents filed in Manhattan Supreme Court in New York City.
Minaj was scheduled to perform alongside Drake and Lil Wayne at Los Angeles' Siren Studios.
The documents obtained by Page Six stated that her "abbreviated appearance defeated the entire purpose of the agreement" to host the event.
The company wants the money back and other unspecified damages. A representative for Minaj has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
As reported yesterday, Minaj is scheduled to perform at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on August 24, marking her first solo performance at the awards.
She is expected to perform her latest single, "Anaconda" off her forthcoming album, The Pink Print, due out later this year.
"The VMAs is a pretty big deal so people go all out for it," Minaj said in a statement. "I am very, very excited and looking forward to the performance."
