A courageous teen was rendered "speechless" by Lewis Capaldi's performance on the Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday evening.
Lucy Montgomery, who saved the lives of a small boy and her father, believed she had won a visit of the ITV studios and would be included in a documentary about inspiring individuals. However, the courageous 15-year-old was stunned when Lewis performed his new tune for her on the popular ITV show.
On the show, the 26-year-old singer also presented Lucy Montgomery with a golden envelope bearing the news that she had received a Daily Mirror Pride of Britain award.
Lucy Montgomery added, giggling from ear to ear, that she was astonished since everything happened so quickly. She said she never anticipated being nominated for an award for the actions I took.
She added she did not anticipate Lewis to come out and sing to her too and she couldn't believe it when he did.
It was astounding, she shared.
In July 2021, while on vacation in France, Lucy was paddleboarding on the Charente River, where she witnessed her eight-year-old cousin Mathieu drifting into dangerously deep water.
The courageous adolescent, who was then 14 years old, accompanied her non-swimming father, Graham, 50, to attempt to soothe the young kid. Mathieu was washed away by the rising tide, causing the young woman from Northern Ireland to swim out into the turbulent sea and save his life by dragging him to the shore.
As she got the youngster to safety, Lucy realized she "had no time to be terrified" because her father was now in danger, so she swam back to him and instructed him to turn on his back to float. Graham, her father, stated, that before Lucy interfered, he thought Ihe was going to drown.
Then Lucy arrived; she was quite composed and in charge.
She claimed that her only thought was "to find a way to bring him to safety," but after accomplishing so, she was too fatigued to swim herself. Fortunately, Lucy spotted her paddleboard and climbed onto it before it drifted back to shore with her on it. Graham, the principal, stated, that everyone were incredibly pleased of Lucy. They are amazed that the incident has garnered so much attention. She described Lucy as so beautiful and modest.
Recently, Capaldi disclosed that he suffers from Tourette's syndrome and has gotten Botox injections in his shoulder to suppress his tics.
According to the NHS website, Tourette syndrome causes a person to generate involuntary sounds and movements known as tics. During an Instagram Live broadcast last month, he revealed he is still learning about the disorder. Lewis confessed he was relieved to learn he has this condition because he initially worried he had a degenerative illness.
