Heads up, Drake and 21 Savage fans!
It would seem like you would have to wait for a little longer to hear the highly anticipated collaborative album of the two rap superstars.
Supposedly, "Her Loss," the Drake and 21 Savage collab album are due to release this coming Friday, Oct. 28. However, due to unfortunate circumstances, the "Her Loss" album release date will be delayed.
According to Billboard, it wasn't an issue for the collaborators themselves. Drake took to his Instagram story to share the unfortunate announcement.
Per the "Honestly, Nevermind" rapper, one of his production team has contracted the COVID-19 virus and was unable to finish the tracks on time.
"Our brother @ovo40 got Covid while mixing and mastering the crack so he's resting up. NOVEMBER 4th is HER LOSS day we'll see you soon," he wrote on an Instagram story with a devil and rose emoji.
Likewise, 21 Savage, the other collaborator on the album, also shared the same thing on his own account.
It wasn't just "Her Loss" who would be bumped up on another date. DVSN's "Working On My Karma" was also rescheduled for the November 4 release, OVO Sound posted on Twitter.
Fans of both rappers were shocked by the sudden announcement of a new album from the two as they only released the song last Saturday, showed in their recently-released "Jimmy Cooks" music video.
In the video, at around the 1:25 mark, the duo announced the new collab album title and the now-rescheduled release date of "Her Loss."
"Jimmy Cooks" was one of the most successful tracks on Drake's "Honestly, Nevermind" album. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts as the project also opened at the summit of the Billboard 200 albums chart with 204,000 album equivalent units.
Meanwhile, this wasn't the first time the two had collaborated on a track, as the two is a frequenter on both projects.
Savage was featured on "Knife Talk" from "Certified Lover Boy," while Drake appeared on "Mr. Right Now" in "Savage Mode II" collab album between the British rapper and Metro Boomin in 2020. He was also featured on Drake's "Sneakin" in 2016.
