Kelly Clarkson covered the song The Middle during her daytime talk show, and it is giving every early 2000s kids LIFE.
Kelly Clarkson has had an absolutely incredible career. From her days on American Idol to her current daytime talk show, the star continues to find exciting ways to surprise and delight us. One such delightful took place just the other day when Clarkson covered early 2000s anthem The Middle during her own talk show.
The Middle is something of an early 2000s anthem. The song is the perfect blend of encouragement and quintessential punk-pop energy. The song came off of the band's well loved Bleed American album. The album came out right around the turn of the millennia in 2001. Since that time, the song has remained one that zillenials will blast through the speakers and scream-sing the music to.
The sensation took on the song during the well-loved Kellyoke segment of her talk show (which is one of the most truly delightful puns to exist on televised morning talk shows.)
The optimistic song came through in an episode where she talked about a variety of more difficult topics. In an interview with Khloe Kardashian, the two talked about the struggles they have faced when trying to move on from an ex. Clarkson shared:
"I think it is the most ridiculous thing when something doesn't work out and you're in a relationship and you are so deeply in love. I think I might always still love that person, I don't know if that goes away."
We can always count on Clarkson to share her truth and honesty with us, and then to carry us away with a song! Great job Kelly Clarkson!
