Rihanna has officially released her new song Lift Me Up, and it is the sensation we all hoped it would be.
Rihanna has been making her return to the music world in a real way. A few months ago it was announced that the star would be performing the half time show at this year's Super Bowl. While eager fans count down the weeks until the exciting February performance, the sensation has given her followers something else to cling to. It was also previously announced that she would be recording a song for the new Black Panther movie. This song has been released earlier than it was previously anticipated to come out. When you might ask? TODAY!
Earlier today, Lift Me Up was released. The song will be featured in the upcoming film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It is the first new music that Rihanna has come out with in the six years. The artist's incredible sound has risen to new heights in the past few years. One Twitter user enthusiastically pointed out:
"Rihanna's voice has matured and turned so rich?!!! Okay mama NOW I need solo new Rihanna no soundtrack attach to it. BAD GAL RIRI"
The song is a moving tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who starred in the previous Black Panther film. After a long battle with colon cancer, the actor passed away on August 20th, 2020. The song is a beautiful way to remember his incredible life.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever comes to theatres on November 11th, 2022.
