D.H. Peligro's Life and Career
Peligro officially started his music career with the Dead Kennedys in 1981. He appeared in the band's EP, "In God We Trust, Inc," later that year.
He played for the band for five years before its initial split, recording several studio albums, including "Plastic Surgery Disasters" in 1982 and "Bedtime for Democracy" in 1986. Peligro also became part of its 1987's compilation album called "Give Me Convenience or Give Me Death."
After Dead Kennedys' breakup, he became part of Red Hot Chili Peppers. But his stint was cut short as he was fired because of his drug addiction issues.
He gave Dead Kennedys a try again when the members regrouped in 2001 but without frontman Jello Biafra. The drummer was still able to join them in a Spain concert on October 15.
Peligro's death occurred amid the Dead Kennedys' European tour.
Outside his career with bands, he collaborated with other artists including Moby, Feederz, Roky Erickson, and Nailbomb. He also created his own band, which he called Peligro.
