Not only is Kanye West getting slowly shunned by the industry for his antisemitic and other offensive comments, but he is now also getting mocked.
"Saturday Night Live" made a parody skit out of the rapper's unannounced visit to Skechers' headquarters by making a fake advertisement.
"Here at Skechers, we pride ourselves on two things: Making stylish, comfortable shoes at an affordable price, and having zero tolerance for anti-Semitism," said Cecily Strong as she portrayed a marketing director for the shoe band.
She also added that the company was appalled by the 45-year-old rapper's "horrific comments" and "vowed to never work with him in any capacity."
"But, can we also point out, of all the companies he could of approached and been rejected by, he chose Skechers."
Bowen Yang also appeared in the skit, wearing a Skechers employee uniform in a storefront set.
"What would you even call a Kanye-Skechers shoe anyway, the Skeezy?" he joked. "Two years ago, can you imagine the headline, 'Skechers too good for Kanye?'"
'Too Good For Kanye'
Lately, it seems like all the brands are "too good" for the rapper. Host Colin Jost pointed out the several brands that cut ties with the rapper for his controversial statements, saying that some of the brands have no association with the rapper in the first place.
"Is it just me or did half of the companies that dropped Kanye sound fake?" he said. "I saw the headline, 'TJ Maxx cuts ties with Kanye.' I was like, 'Did Kanye know he works for TJ Maxx?'"
In recent days, a number of brands and companies, including Goodwill, decided to do away from the rapper.
According to reports, Goodwill will not accept any Yeezy donations in all of their locations.
"That's ironic since Kanye has lost enough money that he might need them," Jost said.
Among the brands that severed ties with the rapper was German athletic brand, Adidas.
Canceled
Aside from Adidas, other brands that collaborated with the rapper's brand Yeezy also pulled out, including Balenciaga and Gap.
According to reports, he lost over $1 billion after the canceled deals, and he was also dropped from the Forbes Billionaires list.
All of this comes after his offensive comments about the Jewish community, saying that he wanted to 'death con 3" them.
In other news, West is facing a potential lawsuit after his recent remarks about George Floyd. He has apologized for the comments.
"So when I questioned the death of George Floyd, it hurt my people," he said.
"I want to apologize. Because God has showed me by what adidas is doing, by what the media is doing, I know what it feels to have a knee on my neck right now.
