Police announced that rapper TakeOff died Tuesday after being shot outside a bowling alley in downtown Houston. He was 28.
TakeOff, also known as Kirsnick Khari Ball, was a member of Migos alongside Quavo and Offset. TakeOff and Quavo, along with roughly 40 others, had just left a private party when gunfire erupted outside the 810 Billiards and Bowling Alley. According to the police, the party finished around 1:00 a.m., but the gang gathered outside the bowling alley more than an hour later.
Migos No More? Latest Music Just Dropped
Just hours before this tragedy, Migos dropped their latest music, which was accompanied by a controversial music video.
Allegedly, in this video, it is shown that Quavo is not done revisiting his prior relationship with Saweetie, using their elevator argument to produce a new music video visual.
Quavo and Takeoff, the two active members of Migos, released the music video for "Messy" on Monday, and they're bringing up an incident in which the former couple fought in an elevator at LAX.
In the music video, Quavo acts out his reinvented elevator scene by himself. While he is not accompanied by a female friend, he is carrying an orange Call of Duty box... identical to the one Saweetie stole from him during their dispute in 2021.
Quavo co-directed the video with DAPS; he's clearly in charge of the vision, which fuels the intensity of the song's lyrics.
It is not clear what will happen to Migos now as Offset was earlier removed from it, after tension ensued among him, Takeoff and Quavo.
Where is Quavo?
While he is one of the first to try and revive Takeoff, no one seems to be hearing from Quavo in the aftermath of the shooting.
Meanwhile, a video of Quavo arguing with someone before the shooting happened emerged.
Outside of the bowling alley in Houston, Quavo argued with a group of men for more than 30 seconds before gunfire erupted. Takeoff and others stood by his side as he argued. This video of the fight was obtained by TMZ Hip Hop at 2:30 a.m.; in it, people can see and hear Quavo arguing with someone, and Takeoff is standing just behind him.
During a talk about basketball, someone, possibly Quavo, exclaims, "I don't get down like that!" After a few seconds, a single gunshot is heard, and when everyone begins to flee, a barrage of gunshots erupts from the crowd. More than ten shots can be heard in total, and they appear to have originated from at least two distinct firearms.

People fled in all directions in an attempt to escape the shower of gunshots, resulting in widespread anarchy. According to our initial story,
Takeoff was shot near the head, and despite Quavo and a bystander's attempts to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at the spot.
Offset Quiet
Amidst it all, Offset is quiet. Fans believe he's taking the news hard while some are raising their eyebrows at the silence. Some think he must be lamenting the fact that he and Takeoff are not in good terms when this tragedy happened. It remains to be seen if he will react soon.
