Takeoff was shot and died early on November 1 at a bowling alley. He was 28 years old at the time.
His pals believe he was caught in the crossfire rather than the intended target of the deadly shooting.
Radar Online spoke with Takeoff's buddies, who shared their idea about why they don't believe Takeoff, actual name Kirshnik Khari Ball, was arguing with the suspect before discharging the pistol.
"Whatever occurred, it had nothing to do with Takeoff," they stated.
Meanwhile, a devastating 911 call from the incident recorded a terrified Quavo pleading for help after a stray bullet killed his co-rapper.
After the shooting, a video shows Quavo crouching over the 28-year-old, pleading on the phone.
Quavo can be heard saying, "What does she need to do?" in a video and audio acquired by TMZ, while a woman on the scene claiming to be a nurse attempted to assist.
Five rounds were also fired, according to dispatchers.
Takeoff Dead: What Happened Before the Shooting?
Quavo was observed driving around town with Jas Price, who was enjoying his birthday, just before it happened. According to sources, Jas was not there at the bowling alley with the Migos members.
Quavo and Takeoff were also upbeat while playing dice at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston. Takeoff was seen beaming from ear to ear in his final snap, posing for a photo with a fan.
More TMZ footage shows Quavo fighting with a group of individuals for 30 seconds right before the shooting.
Before the fight becomes fatal, Takeoff can be spotted a few steps behind Quavo. When numerous rounds were fired into the big throng, chaos ensued.
Takeoff, who was on the edges of the group during the brawl, was fatally shot in the head or neck as gunshots rang out into the throng, according to investigators.
Two additional persons were hurt in the incident but have not been recognized. The patients were taken to the hospital, and their current status is unclear.
It is also uncertain what started the dispute that resulted in the shooting as of this writing. However, it is thought that Quavo and Offset were gambling during the event.
Quality Control Music Breaks Their Silence
Meanwhile, Takeoff's label Quality Control Music said a stray bullet killed him.
They said, "Senseless violence and a stray bullet has taken another life from this world and we are devastated."
"Please respect his family and friends as we all continue to process this monumental loss."
