Born on November 3, 1948 in Scotland's Lennoxtown, Lulu is a Scottish singer who is famous in the American music scene, by belting the hit song, "The Man with the Golden Gun," the theme song of a James Bond blockbuster movie of the same title. Lulu was born under the birth name, Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie.
Lulu was twice married and divorced. One of her ex-husbands was a member of the Bee Gees brothers. She first got married in 1969 to Maurice Gibb. They divorced in 1973. In the late 1970's, Lulu married hairstylist, John Frieda. They had one offspring. They were divorced in 1991.

Lulu started her music career in 1964, after she has signed with Decca records. Having covered her version of the song, "Shout", catapulted Lulu into achieving a number seven hit in the UK charts. In 1993, Lulu made an appearance in Take That's song called,"Relight My Fire." She received an award from OBE in 2000 from the queen for her musical career achievements, and by 2021 that award was boosted into one from CBE.
