Ben Platt is currently appearing in the New York production of Parade, and his melodic voice continues to move our hearts.
Ben Platt's incredible talent and musical ability are a large part of the reason he has been as successful as he is today. From his time as Benji in the fan-favorite movie Pitch Perfect to his Tony Award winning run as the title character in the incredible Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, Platt has been decidedly singing his way to success. This upward trajectory continues as the star is now performing in the current New York City Center production of Parade.
According to a summary of the show on Playbill, Parade tells,"the true story of Leo Frank, a Jewish man who was wrongfully accused and convicted of murdering a 13-year-old girl in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1913."
A clip of Platt singing the iconic song This Isn't Over was released on Playbill, and from this first look alone fans can be certain that the performer is oncea gain brining his absolute A-game to the part.
It is not just his phenomenal voice that sets Platt apart. It is his emotion and feeling. Every note is felt. Every thought he has spreads through the theatre like wildfire, grabbing the audience and pulling them into the throws of his gripping story.
