Selena Gomez is one of the many stars that came out from Disney Channel that became one of the biggest celebrities and pop stars in the world. She is in the same generation as Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato, who all had their own respective series and movies like Gomez did.
While the three's friendship seemed to be unbreakable at the time, along the way, they drifted apart because of unconfirmed reasons. All of them remain civil up until now, but not as close as they would come on the webcam goofing around.
In the past few years, Gomez has developed a particular friendship with another pop star - Taylor Swift. The two went on to become best friends, whose relationship has become even stronger now.
Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez Friendship Explored
Dubbed by many as Taylena, Taylor and Selena have gone through hardships together. According to Billboard, the two are one of the rarest celebrity friendships that had a long-lasting, ride-or-die friendship in the celebrity sphere.
In important events, many would spot the two sitting together in awards shows, the first to clap on each other's successes.
Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Gomez spoke highly of Swift and their friendship's beginnings.
"We clicked instantly, and, man, that was my girl," Gomez told The Wall Street Journal. "We both went through sh- at the same time. She taught me a lot about how I should be treated at a young age."
Gomez, during Swift'sSwift's many arena tours, has surprised the many fans of their friendship with a rare appearance. She has appeared on the "Speak Now" Tour, the "1989" tour, and the most recent "reputation" tour. Who knows? She might crash again on Swift's "The Eras" 2023 tour too?
Swift also cast Gomez in her star-studded "Bad Blood" music video, along with their other girl friends.

During the Scooter Braun vs Taylor Swift's Masters' issue, Selena was also quick to defend her bestie, composing a hefty and poignant message to everyone going against Swift.
"Seeing my best friend (or any of my friends) be constantly pulled down is the worst feeling. Taylor fights. She will never stop fighting. People grow from choices. Some will stay exactly the same. I just want a change of heart. I love you," she said in a statement.
The love between the two surely doesn't run out. Very recently, Selena opened up to Rolling Stone about her battle with her mental disorder. In the interview, she revealed Swift's importance to her life.
"I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift], so I remember feeling like I didn't belong. I felt the presence of everyone around me living full lives. I had this position, and I was really happy, but ... was I? Do these materialistic things make me happy?" Selena said.
