Fans of Aaron Carter, who knew he started his music career with the massive support of his brother Nick Carter, one of the Backstreet Boys, have been waiting for the latter to speak up.

"My heart is torn tonight," he began a lengthy eulogy accompanied by a montage of images of him and Aaron throughout the years. He acknolwedged that his connection with Aaroun has been tough but his affection for him has never diminished.

He also said that while it will be easier to blam someone or something for Aaron Carter's death, the real reason behind this tragedy are addiction and mental disease.

Aaron, age 34, was discovered dead in his California home on November 5th. Aaron Carter was found lifeless in his Palmdale, California, home this morning, his representative confirmed to Page Six at the time. "The family has been alerted and will go to Los Angeles," stated the spokesperson.

Aaron Carter fought very hard in the final years of his life to heal, to be a decent parent, and to make apologies with his family.

Aaron and Nick Carter's sibling relationship has been difficult over the years, with the Grammy nominee filing a restraining order against Nick in September 2019 because the "I Want Candy" singer reportedly intended to harm Nick Carter's then pregnant wife and unborn child.

Prior to Aaron Carter's passing, the actor spoke openly about his struggles with addiction.

Hilary Duff, the ex-girlfriend of Aaron Carter, also penned a heartfelt tribute and at the same time, said what Nick did - drugs and mental health issues certainly led to this tragedy. Clearly, she is grieving the loss of her ex-boyfriend Aaron Carter.

Following the news that Carter, 34, was discovered dead on Saturday, Duff posted a message to the singer on social media. As young stars, Duff and Carter dated intermittently for almost three years, and the "That's How I Beat Shaq" singer appeared on Duff's successful Disney Channel sitcom, Lizzie McGuire.

In a statement titled "for Aaron," the 35-year-old actress reflected on her ex's terrible past, which includes substance misuse, mental health issues, and the recent loss of custody of his infant son, Prince.

This post even garnered a like from Lindsay Lohan - her once nemisis over Aaron Carter.

The connection between Duff and Carter apparently began in 2001 and overlapped with his relationship with another teen icon at the time, Lindsay Lohan. Although he and Duff, who is now a mother of three and married her second husband Matthew Koma in 2019, had officially split by 2004, Carter continued to profess his love for the celebrity.

In 2014 Carter referred Duff as the "love of my life" and shared his massive regret about losing her.
